my bloodthirster now has some of his armor. both shoulderpads and greaves are done. the press molds worked suprisingly well. i am pleased. once again these are taken with my cell cam so they are a bit blurry.

various projects for dismantling the imperium of the false god emperor of mankind... aka, a 40k modeling blog.
Ahhhh your balrog is missing a hand! Oh noes!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to use our camera to take better pics just let me know. :)
Press molds of inquisitor scale Tyrus' shoulder pads? However you got them, they look rockin. I'm also fond of the marauder shoulderpads turned kneepads. Barbed wire on forearm is made of win. What's the GS on his chest?
ReplyDeletei may want to take you up on the camera use!
ReplyDeletethe gs'n on the chest is picking out the chest muscles. the original sculpt was a bit soft and i want it more lean and sinewy. i was inspired by the tyrus shoulder pads however, made my own. the rounded under piece is a press mold from a chaos knight shield the upper band is made from a scrap press mold using two different sized strips of plastruct, the pointy bit from one of the older chaos vehicle chains, a skull from a beastman banner and a paperclip.
Really? I just assumed it was a copy because you said you're rubbish at sculpting tech. I'm impressed with your clever clever use of materials.
